Going to Disneyland!

We finally told the kids tonight that we are taking them to Disneyland!  They are super excited.  Aaron bought them Disney shirts and put them on them while they had their eyes closed.  Then we let them open their eyes and look at the shirts and we told them say "we are going to Disneyland!"  Took them a second to register what was happening but they are very excited, as are we.  Let the countdown begin.  :)

Spring?

We are looking for spring, but we are not seeing it yet other than trees and flowers are blooming.  Temperatures have been in the 40s as a high and we have had snow (yes snow) once a week at least the past few weeks.  We woke up to another dusting of snow this morning and it snowed on us while we walked to school.  I am very ready for some warmer weather!

Kristin had a soccer game yesterday and we got lucky with the weather.  She has some new soccer cleats since she had another growth spurt.  :)  Her new cleats are bright orange of course.  No goals for her this weekend, but she had a great assist and played a great game.  Kristin also has a new pair of softball cleats.  Softball practice starts tonight.  We are in for a month or so of 2 sports for her.  Should be fun and very busy!

Kellen has been busy playing with bubble wrap from our new entertainment stand.  He has it laid out on the floor so he can stomp on it.  He also really enjoyed riding his bike in the snow this morning.

Kindergarten Orientation

It is already that time of year, Kindergarten Orientation.  Last Thursday night we all headed up to the school to meet the kindergarten teachers and do some fun little activities.  Kellen had a lot of fun and got to see a lot of friends.  He is ready to go.  The first picture is of Kellen and his buddy Joshua from our old daycare.  They have been buddies since they were babies.  They are both excited to be in school together again. 

The next picture is of Kellen and Daddy in the Kindergarten classroom that he got to visit.  The kids went to visit the classrooms while the parents listened to the principal and went on a tour.  Kellen got to visit the same room that Kristin had Kindergarten in.  :)

Kristin is excited to have Kellen join her at Sexton Mountain.  She is already prepared to walk Kellen to his classroom if he has morning kindergarten.  What a good big sis!

Settling In

We are wittling away at the boxes in the garage. I think there are only 2 egg boxes left. I think I figured out that a couple of those boxes might have taken part in 18 different moves. They had a wonderful career, but retirement was calling.

Danelle ordered blinds today as we've been living with about six windows without blinds. We're looking forward to eating at the dinner table without squinting.

We had a pretty nice day on Sunday. It was a good day to be outside. Kristin had a soccer game and her team played well again. The score was 'a high number' to one, as Kritin would say. Kellen enjoyed being outside too. He and a couple of his friends dug for worms. Even managed to find one and name it 'Pinky'.

Kellen and I went for a bike ride / run around the neighborhood this evening. He counted 7 dogs. That was definitely the highlight for him. He is very comfortable on his training wheels. I could see those coming off this summer.

I forgot to bring the long lens for the camera this weekend, so I wasn't able to get any great pictures. But here is one of Kristin entering the cheer tunnel after the game.
