Cookie Time!

Girl Scouts started up again for the girls this week after the holiday break. They had a meeting to go over setting goals and deciding what to do with the sales proceeds. The girls came up with ideas in two categories: Service and Reward. Then they voted amongst themselves. They decided that they will allocate the proceeds of their sales to purchasing toys for the dogs and cats at the local humane society. For their reward, they will have a roller skating party.

They can officially start to sell the cookies tomorrow (Saturday). Kristin has been practicing her sales routine. :-)

Kellen used his Christmas gift money to purchase a Thomas the Tank train that is not only self propelled, but remotely operated as well. It will go backward and forward around the track. And our favorite - it makes loud chugging noices and also does the theme music to the show. He is super excited about his new train. He now has three self propelled trains that chase each other around the track.

Kristin did awesome at public skate last weekend. She really enjoyed going with her friend Ella, who is just learning to skate (but catching on fast). Kellen is getting more and more confident too. Danelle even said that it is probably time for her to invest in a pair of skates since there are probably lot's of public skates in our future.

Here is a picture of Kristin reading to Kellen earlier in the week.
