Kellen was just not himself. He'd been fighting a cold with a nightime cough, but hadn't had a fever at all until sometime this morning at daycare. We got him down for a nap and then I took him to the doctor this afternoon. The doctor tested him for the flu and that came back negative. She thinks he has a croup variant, and gave him some medicine to treat that. He was clingy and very cuddly until shortly after our dinner. He did not want to eat - just wanted to be held. He just did not want to be put down. We finally got his fever to break and he showed a lot more energy, even eating a good (late) dinner. So hopefully we are on the right track for getting him well again.
Kristin and I ran an errand to Micheal's Crafts while Kellen was napping and picked up some stencils and paint. She wants to paint decorations on her bed frame, which is currently just plain white. We'll probably do the painting this weekend - that should be fun. She is really excited about it. While I took Kellen to the doctor, Danelle took Kristin back to daycare so she could participate in her karate lessons. Danelle stayed to watch and snapped a few really good pictures.
