A Pleasant Evening

We had a pleasant evening tonight. Both kids did great with their dinners and were in good spirits. Danelle and I ate in shifts since the kids ate their meals so fast. Usually we get their dinners ready before preparing our own, but tonight they got finished before we could get our meals ready.

Kellen and I did legos for a bit, and then he wanted to get out the tube tunnel. Kristin joined Kellen and their were plenty of giggles to go around. Kellen took a blanket off of the rocking chair and laid down on it on the floor. Then Kristin picked up an edge of the blanket and pulled Kellen around. They both thought it was great fun. Kristin also 'watched' the hockey game with me for a little bit. She sat next to me with a Scooby Doo book and would hit me up for help on the words she couldn't figure out. Then she went in the kitchen to write 'Pittsburgh Penguins' on a little oragami penguin that she brought home from daycare. It even came with an unsolicited hand written 'I love you daddy' message on it when she was done. :-)

Tonight was was of those nights when I looked at Kellen and thought, wow you must have grown last night! In the picture he is having fun with a car seat Kristin has outgrown.
